De-Duplication Rules

Overview

Integrate can automatically dedupe leads based on set criteria. Deduping is the process of rejecting leads if they already exist at the level you set

  • Marketer can setup de-duplication rules to mirror their agreement with their media partner
  • Dedupe rules can apply at the source, campaign, media partner, account or tag level
  • It is common to set to not allow duplicates within a single media partner but to allow duplicates between media partners.


How To

The duplication rules are set up to allow or deny duplicate leads based on the marketer’s preference of field or multiple fields

  • Based on Email Address
  • Based on Phone Number
  • Based on Email & Phone
  • Based on Email & Asset (coming soon)


Reject if lead already Exists in

  • Source - no duplicates are allowed from a single media partner posting to a single source
  • Campaign - no duplicates are allowed between media partners/sources for this specific campaign
  • Media Partner - no duplicates allowed if lead already been delivered by the Media Partner on any of the campaigns in the account
  • Account - no duplicates allowed at the account level across all campaigns and all media partners
  • Tag – please refer to dedupe by tag documentation here


Lookback x days – reject the lead only if duplicate found within the last x day


  • To add duplication terms, Click the “terms” on a campaign or source, and scroll down to the bottom of the page
  • Within the Dedupe rules section, select the dedupe criteria


  • Click Save when you are finished.
  • Example: let’s assume all Media Partner are posting test@integrate.com as a lead. let’s follow the rules and see the outcome if a Media partner posts test@integrate.com
